Regarding the African flag

Dear Editor: It is amusing that the briefs photo (2/20/00) shows a flag over City Hall condoning "blood, faces, and land in commemorating roots and culture." So does the Confederate flag, but I will bet that, like in all politics, no one will raise the hue and cry. The more one tries to raise his own interests over another, the more differences we will find. The more differences we try to find, the further we will be separated as individuals. Too bad. I will forever hope that we can teach each other and learn from each other. Too bad those self interests get in the way, eh Reverend Sharpton? Gerald Sharrock
