The site frequently takes aim at Mayor Dawn Zimmer's political enemies. It also posts graphics about them, as well as non-political items such as recipes.
Pincus is a member of the Hoboken Zoning Board, allied with Zimmer.
Police were apparently concerned about the content of an Aug. 15 posting which was the fourth in a series of parody letters to the FBI mockingly speculating on a current investigation of possible e-mail tampering in Hoboken City Hall.
This letter differed from others in that it talked about wanting to join the FBI, saying "I've always wanted to shoot someone. I'd get a gun, right? Well, I'd definitely use it. Alot. Maybe every day ... Only do I ask questions first THEN shoot?" It then mentions that she has a list of people to arrest in town, and that she could shoot their door knob if they didn't answer, or "apply a Vulcan death grip." She gives specific streets and hints about where some of their homes are.
Pincus confirmed that the officers had visited her home, but said that she believed this was part of an effort to silence her, calling it “political intimidation." She also said she was threatened with arrest if she tried to blog about the visit.
“That’s why I didn’t blog about it,” she said, noting that some of the questions they asked her were about her position as a member of the Zoning Board.
Pincus said she believed that the visit was part of an attempt by Zimmer opponents to create a controversy with the aim of removing her from the board. Pincus’ blogs have been controversial in the past, particularly two, one depicting public officials in a bowl of turds -- which she said was taken out of context. In another post, Pincus used a well-known graphic from a Nazi propaganda film as a backdrop for a political satire against Councilwoman Beth Mason, who is a convert to the Jewish faith. While the image showed no Nazi symbols, some of the City Council called for Pincus to be removed from the board.
“This is their second shot,” Pincus said, in reference to the recent visit by police to her home. “This is purely political.”

Why are people not up in arms over the bankruptcy, the $600,000 gift given to the former hospital head, the $11 million gift given to the hospital by our budget busting Gov. just days before the bankruptcy and let us not forget the countless businesses that the mayor left hanging out to dry with the forced $37 million bankruptcy.
I can't wait to find out what other "compromises" were made in an effort to rid us of the hospital.
Grafix Avenger should not write on on open legal, especially if there was actionable threats made. Any lawyer would probably advise likewise.
My post was in response to the Nazi imagery that Pincus used. It wasn't illegal, but it was about as stupid as sticking a wet finger in an electrical socket. It was a violation of the public's trust that our officials won't act like tasteless idiots.

Pincus brags about shaking her proverbially family tree and having a lawyer fall out, but now says police bullied her. Hey moron, call a lawyer. Tell them you will not answer questions without an attorney present. They can’t question you without legal counsel once you ask for it. You have the right to remain silent. Giving up that right is what has repeatedly gotten you into trouble.
You complain your child is traumatized but threatening to shoot at the door of homes where children live isn’t potentially traumatizing to them? That threat invited the police to your home because you have no filter. You are an unneeded embarrassment to the Mayor, City Council, and Board of Adjustments.
It is amazing that such well educated people defend hate because they themselves hate their political adversaries so much. If Perry Klauseen threatened to shoot down Mayor Zimmer’s door Pincus would be outraged. Yet, here she is again always the victim. Typical bully. Once she gets called out on her behavior she tries to act like she is the wronged party. Having such an immature person vote on zoning matters truly disturbs me.
Here is some advice, shut down the blog or step down from the Board of Adjustments, because it just creates a conflict our City doesn’t need when we are trying to deal with important issues.
